Photography: Catching a moment to catch your imagination

I love photography because it is an instant painting ... an instant creation of art. Instead of being great at the mechanics of laying charcoal or brush to paper, instead of spending days, if not weeks working on a single work of art (which requires a lot of stamina, patience and self confidence), here is a medium where all you need to do is keep your eyes and mind open, and keep a camera at hand. You see something that you think has that quality of moving you, you capture it. You capture it, yet it remains unbound. It is an image of something outside of you, but it tells more about you than itself. It is when a lens becomes a mirror. The harder you look outside through the lens the more you look inside yourself. And what others may see in your work is you more than your work! Here are some pictures to bring back the memories of various events of my life. I hope to add in most of the pictures I have so as to make this collection a store for all my photography, and also photography of my friends that I decided to add.
